Ways to enjoy a government job

one more month is ready to bid goodbye to this beautiful world. we will never see april 2013 again in our lives. but for me , i will definitely cherish the moments which i have spent in this month. life is going at its pace smoothly without any speed breakers or humps etc. i have been keeping good with my personal and professional life both for quite a time now. i have managed to make out a balance. six days working, friday night movie and saturday evening to hometown, sunday relaxing and so on.

even during the working days, to enjoy my job and to digress myself from the government job tensions (believe me!! they are endless, if one starts thinking about them), i have started reading some books (my favorite companions since childhood). they might also prove to be useful in cracking some administrative exams. though i am not seriously involved with them, yet a decent time devotion and regularity what is making me little hopeful about the it. even if not, those are helping me to end my day at a good and positive note.

besides books, another person who is helping me to survive through is my PG mate. recently his brother has also joined in to share my room. so we three go for hangouts etc and chill ourselves. though they are about 10 years younger than me still i am able to cop up with their innocence and adolescence. moreover, there is electronic media like TV, Laptop, cell phones etc which can help one in making his life interesting. though i am not a computer maniac but still i manage to use it to cool down myself.

i am trying to make my life beautiful in the best possible way i can. even during the working hours, i maintain cool not to get frustrated over petty issues. i doubt if i will be able to be a good officer but (yeah!!) i promise to be a good person.

Marriage on my mind..

though i could not serve you with the February installment but i assure you that i would compensate for the loss in this dish. the topic itself says it all. How interesting it is going to be? Marriage- for me it's always been an event to suit up and dance to music. Nothing more than that. i graduated in 2008 and most of my college friends have already tied their respective knots with their loved ones. till very recently i was not bothered about the same happening to me. I mean, to be the one, whom everybody looks upto, what he is wearing, what is he eating, how is he behaving? etc etc...

for last two three months, i have been continuously one way or the other told by my parents, relatives to think beyond dressing up and eating in a marriage. slowly and steadily i realized that they were talking about me getting married. is it the right time to get married, am i settle enough to have another responsibility on my shoulders. these questions keep hunting me and most of the times i find YES answer.

on the other side of the coin, as far as stability is concerned, i am not decided about my job locations, it might get shifted to some other place later or sooner. As far as job is concerned, i have still not completed my probation period. though i fully determined to complete it this time but life keeps on surprising us like it had been in the past. as far as family is concerned, younger brothers are struggling in their careers. so amidst all these uncertainties, is it really the right time?

having said all this, i will not deny the fact that whenever i listen and think about brighter side of the picture, i do get excited about the whole scenario. i will turn 26 in may and already working as a gazetted officer in a state government department . what else one needs? the answer to this question is: A girl. A girl who fits in your family properly and opens up to adjustments, a decent combination of beauty and brains and most importantly, should be working.

so gals , an eligible bachelor looking out for a perfect match!!!

short of words...

Though it is 11.32'o clock in the night yet I am eager to write my next edition. Just finished psycho thriller" Saw", the first ever movie i have watched on my laptop after completing " Mahabharta." Already it's been 28 days since the new year has begun. i have pledged to be calm and hard working throughout this year. Calm because i think calmness can help us achieve big targets without panic. Hardworking is the another way to achieve success. so i have decided to head towards the motto with these two weapons.

Last month, i was busy in watching Mahabharta. it contained 97 episodes of about 50 minutes each. i managed to watch all the episodes with an interest. now i have knowledge of another epic apart from Ramayana. i got to learnt a lot from the mythological series. starting from Shri Krishna's Geeta Updesh to the great war between Kauravs and Paandavs, from yudhishithar's Dharamneeti to Arjun's arrows power, from Bheems's strength to Duryodhan's egoistic nature.

nothing but goodbye to say...i know its an abrupt ending but keep on reading to find an another interesting and suitable ending

Winters Calling....

This is going to be first winter in my entire life when i am going to have my own vehicle. though the white colored activa is almost an year old now but these days it makes me feel as if it is still a brand new. When chilled air of bathinda opposing me while riding, i get to know what i was missing for so many years. the joy of riding a vehicle in winters is far better than sitting behind on a vehicle. Fog has already started showing its colors. at times i even could not see an object 100m away. so overall till now it's been an amazing experience and i hope for better in the coming days.

Recently on 16th of december, i completed one year in this government job. so how could i forget to include this special occasion in my blog. i celebrated it in office distributing sweets. they all wished me luck for my future. after spending an year, i feel more confident, stable and mature as a person. i hope this time, i would complete my probation period of two years in this job and would not leave like my other jobs.

Another important thing that happened in last one month was to see the World Kabbadi Cup Live in Bathinda. though i am not a sports person that too for Kabbadi "huh!" but i went to see it as semifinals took place in bathinda itself and being a gazetted officer in the same city i was provided with two VIP gatepass. stadium was full with the crowd. there were four matchs including two women and two men. one match was between iran and india guys and another was between india and argentina girls. in both the matchs, india won. though i did not know the rules, but i enjoyed to the fullest.

With this, i wish all the blog lovers a very happy new year !!!!!

Hoping that 2013 will bring smiles to all faces....

how i met with an accident although a small one

its been a first time in the history of my blogging experience that i am writing a blog in a train . as festive season is around so i am on my to home for diwali celeberations. before coming to that i want to complete the last blog which i left in midway .

it started as one of my friend called me up to plan for the vaishno mata. by now you all (those who have been following me) must be knowing that it's hard for me these days to leave for any vacation. since it was vaoshno mata i could not resist myself as i have been going there for last five consecutive years. i didn't want to break the chain. i took a leave making an excuse in the office . i was supposed to reach a junction "ludhiana " by 8 pm to meet other friends.

as i was already getting late to reach the venue, i rode my activa from office to home (5km) at a speed of more than 60 to meet the target(though 60 is not that high speed but definitely its risky in case of bathinda because the its people non driving sense and rush on the roads). And thats how it happened. i was just 50 m away from my room and suddenly a dog came in my way. within seconds i found myself lying on the ground after a loud sound "dhaaaaaaadaaaaaam...." . the sound was hard to resist for other people on the road.

the accident was minor, nothing much happened except a minor scratch on the knees and elbows but i gathered up myself and some fellow stopped to pick up me. i tried starting my activa again and without much ado, it made me reach my home. i did not even bother to look back to check if everything is ok with the vehicle but headed towards my room, changed clothes and packed some. without wasting a minute in bandaging my scratches i left the room and reached the bus stop. i could feel the pain in my left foot. as soon as i boarded a bus and settled down, the pain increased. somehow i managed to reach ludhiana by 10 pm.

by now, i decided to quit and asked my friends to move ahead as i thought i would not be able to walk around 25 km in vaishno devi hills. but they encouraged me and bought me one ointment to relieve the pain. we, three, boarded a bus to katra. and rest as they say is history....

Busiest Months............

October is all set to bid adieu to its timeline yet i have not written my experience for last two months almost. sometimes many things happen sequentially that you do not even get time to react. the same happened with me, so many different experiences i had in last two months that i could not get enough time to narrate them. I had it all; From visiting high court for the very first time to wining a case, from visiting delhi frequently to attending VIPs in bathinda, from being lucky to escape a fatal accident to meeting a not so fatal accident and finally from visiting vaishno mata to attending many marriages in a row.

To start with, it was 13th of October when i was planning to go to Chandigarh for some official purpose. i needed to board a bus at 5.15am from the nearest bus stop. a part of my daily routine is to drink a bottle of water before getting refreshed and then exhale it through peeing several times. that day while i was waiting for the bus at the bus stop, i could feel the pressure building up. time was already 5.14am and i took a chance to release the same keeping in mind the fact that i would not be getting the chance before patiala. as soon as i moved into a corner, the bus crossed and i could not stop it. i was so frustrated with my routine and cursing it.

after 15 minutes of wait, another PRTC bus came and i boarded the same. as soon as we reached adarsh medical college at a distance of about 15km from starting point, we came across an accident which had just happened. the same bus which i missed was completely trashed into a tree from front. some of the passengers were badly injured. that was the time when i thanked god from saving me from mishap and realized the importance of a little habit which i have developed over the period of years.

to be continued......

Scared but Determinent

What could be a better option for paying tributes to all martyrs than writing a blog for this month on the very auspicious day in itself ; 15th August...a day celebrated as an Independence day for India for 65 years now.

The great people of that era echoed some of the most inspirational dialogues which later on became voice of whole country leading to the much awaited Independence and even today when we hear them, adrenaline rushes into our blood. And I am no different from others indians.

" Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe Azaadi dunga."

"Sarfaroshi ki tammna ab hamare dil mein hai, dekhna hai zor kitna baaju-e- katil mein hai"

"Vande Matram"

"Inqalab Zindabad"

Today I also want to be free from the restrictions, the society has put onto me and want to breathe like a free bird. Firstly, I am a human being, later I am a government officer. Nobody can take that right of freedom from me. I am not going to start a new independence movement but definitely I am going to lookout for the real myself who got lost somewhere 8 months back when I joined Government department. I want to celebrate this Independence day for myself only. I am scared whether I am going to make it possible but I am determined to bring a change.
