Haule Haule Ho jayega Pyaar

First time in the history of my writing blogs, I am writing a blog in my office that too on Sunday i.e. 31.5.2015. AC is on, noises are bare minimum, laptop is already with me. So I thought why not to utilize this atmosphere to carve another niche for myself.

It was last Friday of the month when I got to know that I would have to stay at Amritsar for the upcoming last weekend of may for some stupid meetings with the minister which were scheduled on Saturday and Sunday. I was trashed because on Saturday we were having our Garh parvesh pooja for the newly constructed home at Budhlada. So I requested again to my CE for permission to leave for home. He granted the same provided I would attend Sunday meeting. I Instantly agreed and left for home on Friday night. Today I came back to Amritsar for attending the meeting, but after coming to office at 1'o clock, I got to know that the meeting has been cancelled. So this is how thought to write my blog in office.

it's time to unveil the mystery rather suspense which was created in the last blog. This time I am going to talk about the love of my life. In last blog, as it was described, I am engaged to be married soon. So how could a person who has got recently engaged, that too, can talk about love of his life? In recent times, I have been talking to her, meeting her, getting to know her and all these things have made me feel like " kuch to hua hai". In other words, as they say, love is in the air and I am loving it. I am trying my level best to convert this arranged marriage in a love marriage.

She is just the perfect for me. She cares for me, understands me and my work commitments. Pairs are made in heaven and they are bound to meet. So is the case with me. I found my life partner in Shivani. She is from Ferozpur and pursuing MDs in Oral Pathology. Actually I do not have words to write about her. the more I think, the more I get confused.

May, month has always been special for me as its my birthday month. Coincidently She is also born on 13th may. So this time it was a double bonanza for me. on 13th, we celebrated her birthday in Ferozpur. On 23rd, I could not meet her but on 24th we again celebrated my birthday. That's how we have been lucky to meet each other twice in a month that too with the permissions of our families. Since it was the first chance to impress her, so I made my full efforts to make her feel special on that particular day and vice versa (lol).

Another interesting thing which happened in May 2015 is that I got the additional charge of SE Amritsar in lieu of the fact that SE has applied medical leave for two months. CE issued the orders wef 26.5.15. It's a privilege for me to be considered capable of handling such a huge post. In my words, I think lady luck is favoring me a lot these days.

The D day has been fixed as 25th july, 2015. Venue is in Malout.

You all are invited. For more details, contact undersigned>

Band Baja Barat

Finally the day has arrived I was waiting for last 2-3 years. I was getting married to the love of my life. Everything was going great after marriage until and unless my mother pulled out the bed sheet out of my face. "Oh F**K" It was just a beautiful dream which was shattered by none other than my mother who is desperately wanting a daughter in law these days.

It was the morning of 7.3.15 when the incident happened. Like other weekends I was in my home town and had to get ready for the process for bride selection. Not to boast about , but I was getting numerous offers to get married these days. Everytime , other party used to visit our home , shop and meet me personally. Then they used to send me the photographs of their beloved daughter and I used to reject it. It was getting a monotonous process for many weekends.

One day , I got a call from one of my college mates Vasu regarding a marriage proposal. Firstly I was shocked because it was the first time we were having a chat after pass out. Secondly, the girl was the cousin sister of his wife. So it was a tedious situation to handle. We talked about it and finally planned a meeting in Bathinda with her relatives. By this time, I was so much frustrated with all this process that I took this meeting very casually. According to my intuition, after having a chat with them, I was not at all concerned about their decision as I never expected a call from their side.

After two days, my phone rang up with a name blinking on my screen as " Vasu Relative". It was actually the uncle of the girl who came to meet me that day. They showed their consent in the matter. I was awestruck because I was not at all confidant this time keeping in view the meeting I had. As per procedure, I asked for the photographs of the girl. It took them 10 days in sending a photo of the girl which made me again doubtful about the status. After receiving photo, I was in dilemma considering she looked healthier than me.

Despite the reasons mentioned above, we fixed a meeting with the girl named shivani in Bathinda on 3.4.2015. After the meeting , I was confident about the girl and was ready to say Yes. Now my father was in dilemma considering the fact that 2 years of her post graduation were still pending. So we kept the decision pending and conveyed them that the status would be intimated to them within a week. After discussion at home, we let them know our status within 2 days without much ado. And it was a Yes. As they say Relationships are made in heaven. It sounds so true because nobody was confident about the proposal in a way or the other

Both the families fixed the date for shagun cum Roka cum Ring Ceremony as 19.4.15 in Bathinda only. As of now, I am enjoying my courtship period. Marriage date is yet to be fixed. Details about the girl and marriage will be intimated to you'all in next blog so that you must read it.

Before saying goodbye, I just wanted to cleat the reasons for this title:

Firstly, I wanted to make those people feel happy who were annoyed because of non posting of March 15 installment. As the title itself makes a person happy thinking about any marriage.

Secondly, to declare clear and loud that I am very excited these days to meet my better half. She is just the perfect for me. Just want to tie the knot at the earliest. Can not wait for the wedding day for long.

Love U

Quarter of an year completed

For the guys who are related to accounts professionally, may think that the title is misplaced for a blog that was written about the month of February as blog coz a financial year ends in the month of march and so does the last quarter of that particular year. Actually, quarter of an year just represents a period of 3 months which i have completed as Ex Eng in the month of February.

26.11.14 to 26.2.15, Three months just passed by with a speed equivalent to speed to light even before i could realize. I am no more a new comer now and cannot take the advantage of being the one. The period has been quite adventurous, exciting and depressing sometimes. The credit goes to all the staff of amritsar circle who have supported me like anything. I am grateful all my seniors, colleagues and juniors that they have stood through thick and thins of this period.

Starting from the liberty of celebrating 2 days off in a week to travelling 500km every weekend to have a glimpse of newly constructed home, from attending monthly meetings in head office at Chandigarh to getting calls from Head office regarding various issues; I enjoyed every bit of it. On the other hand, from being held responsible for not achieving the targets to being called to explain for some mistakes done unknowingly. On the whole, i have enjoyed every bit of this period as Xen, also my stay in Amritsar. In the recent times, I have tasted various amritsari street foods which are hard to describe in words.

As we are heading towards the end of this particular post, Bathinda not to be missed. Bathinda has been a turning point in my life. Besides being the first posting, it has given me friends like lovely, pankaj, vimal, vikram, deepak etc. It will always hold a special place in my heart. Someway down the line, i would like to see myself settling in Bathinda only, as it is the only big city which is near to my hometown, moreover, it has shown its potential in every field of development in recent times.

Stating the above facts about the two cities, i would like to see myself posted in Bathinda at the earliest. Because i am missing it badly.

Isser Aaye, Dalider Jaye..

Before starting with the proceedings of the blog, let me wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year 2015. May this year, all your wishes get fulfilled.

Everything which starts, comes to an end. Every day is not the same. Similarly, time keeps on changing. So, What I am trying to convey here is that nothing is permanent in life. Which day else could be better to narrate the above mentioned theme than the festival of Punjab " Lohri". It in itself stands for the purity of hearts and bids goodbye to the bad emotions. So I also take this auspicious opportunity to take a new year pledge that I would not allow my fears to overcome my happiness. Whatever the situation may be, I will try to keep it calm rather than getting irritated, frustrated and annoyed. Because bad time is not pertinent and will definitely be overcome by good time sooner or later.

Lets rewind the year 2014 for the last time before bidding adieu.

Year 2014 started on a very spiritual note by offering my prayers at Mata Chintpurni on the very first day of 2014. In February, I got transferred back to Bathinda from Zira and in the same month my probation period got cleared. So the Goddess had already started showering her blessings on me. Year 2014 has also been very special as I met another friend named Pankaj who has been a true companion throughout the year. In April, I got an opportunity to pay a visit to Salasar Dham who has been a continuous support to our family for last many years.

The month of May came along with MP elections in the state. Being in the city which is considered to be the center of the state politics, there was huge pressure during the whole month until the results were announced in the favor of Akalis declaring Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal as MP for the second consecutive term from Bathinda Seat. As soon as I got rid of the election pressure, I had some arguments with Lovely which made my june worse as never before.Things got normal as we had reached some consensus. Following which again we visited the Amarnath Shrine july last year. In August, we started constructing our home back at Budhlada from scratch. It is still in progress. During these months, i had been practicing regular exercise and running which results in reducing my weight from 80 to 64 kg.

By September, I was back in shape which had gone terribly wrong due to overeating fast food in early 2014. With my new personality, i had clicked some beautiful pictures in the festive season. Thanks to Pankaj, who had been a true friend throughout the year until I got transferred to Amritsar in November. This time, along with transfer, i had been given the charge of executive engineer which was a great news for my family. At the same time, my colleagues were not so happy considering i had been given the charge of XEN even before completing my 3 years of service. But as they, God plans everything and nobody dares to challenge. As soon as i got transferred, i got a chance to thank Goddess Vaishno Mata for her kindness. I have been a regular visitor to the shrine for last 6-7 years but could not visit in 2013. So this time excitement was inevitable considering my promotion. December was spent in cold waves of Amritsar enjoying the various tastes of the holy city. The Year ended where it had started. I feel privileged that Mata Chintpurni gave me another chance to visit the holy shrine on the last day of the year also.

The year ended on a beautiful note; So this blog should also.

Life of an Executive Engineer

Usually I post a blog about a month in the end of the month to cover all the incidences happened during the month. This time when i was about to write about Nov 14, I was so overloaded instantaneously that i could not realize how the time flew by. I was so busy with the office work that i could not even get the time to reconcile myself into words.

How it started? It was starting of the november month when weather started showing its colors. Undue pressure was being created by my XEN to get the leakages rectify (Bhucho Rising Main, for non technical staff..take it as if there were some leakage in some pipe) which have increased to great extent. Moreover, farmers rejected to take water into their fields seeing the prevailing weather conditions. So overall situation was critical and action needed to be taken urgently.

After some deliberations, discussions we hired an agency to get the leakages rectified. No contractor was willing to take the initiative as it was like belling the cat. So finally work got started. While we as a department were fully enthusiastic but the contractor seemed least interested. Somehow, we kept the work moving despite no support from XEN keeping in mind the embarrassment it was causing to the name of the department.

On 26th of November, when i was having dinner at my PG, I got a call from JE who just dropped me 5 minutes earlier, telling me about my transfer to Gurdaspur all of a sudden. Another news which followed immediately was that i had been given the charge of Executive Engineer(XEN) there. I was so numb that for a minute i could not believe him. After realization, i could not hold myself but to cry. To confirm, i asked some of my colleagues and friends in the head office, they gave their nod to the news. When i was confirmed, then only I conveyed the news to my parents. They were too much excited they burst into tears out of happiness.

Next morning, when i reached office, i was congratulated by whole staff and i received my orders finally. It stated that Sh Parul Goyal has been transferred to Pb Water supply & Sew Div No 2 Amritsar and given the independent charge of Executive Engineer. So it was amritsar not Gurdaspur where i had been posted but the xen thing was correct. As soon as I got the orders, i packed my bag, got the relieving from the current Xen and left for Amritsar by 1 Pm. After travelling for 4 hours, reached to the office, met SE and gave my joining there. On 28th, I assumed the charge of Executive Engineer, Pb w/s & Sew Div No 2, Amritsar. So, all of this happened so quickly that i did not get the time to write my mind those days. Then it was work, meetings, site visits, new assignments which kept me busy for a month. Every day, after working for late hours also, the work was still pending.

So to get back to normal mode, it took me about a month. So this was the reason behind the non posting last month blog. It was not the leakages which kept me busy rather the post of an XEN which engaged me throughout the month. The first two paragraphs of the blog are just to build up the motion of reading the rest of it. Anyways, 2014 year while ending has given a beautiful present to myself and my family. I need all of your best wishes and blessings so that i can do justice to the chair i have been given.

Festive Season

October 14, a month which will always be remembered as one of the most happening months of this year. Since the festive season is around, be it Dussehra, be it Karwa Chauth, be it Diwali or Bhaiya Duj etc. October has always hold a special space in a person's life. As it brings lots of happiness in the life. This time also, i enjoyed this festive season to its fullest.

Starting with Dussehra which happened on 3rd of october this year, It was a holiday in the office hence I enjoyed it in Budhlada with my family. We did traditional pooja and had lots of sweets. In the evening, i came back to bathinda and celebrated the festival with my friends.

Then, Karwa Chauth arrived which is considered to be a festival of women. But for men also, it is a festival of happiness and joy. I too enjoyed it with pankaj by shopping, roaming in the market. It officially declared the festival season open for the traders as they all tried their level best to decorate the shops, showrooms etc to give market completely a new refreshing look. I also had a temporary tatoo on my arm for the first time ever in my life. Though it lasted only for 4 days but i had a great time in flaunting the same.

Then the biggest festival, Diwali, came. It is a festival of lights, crackers, sweets and lots of Happiness. It also reminds us of holidays and gifts etc. October has also been a month of travelling for me as i visited Chandigarh Four times. Besides the work pressure, i managed to enjoy all the four holidays of Diwali at home only. This time as Green Diwali wave is around the country, so i myself also decided to reduce the crackers, instead i invested in some small hot air balloons.

Overall, it's been a wonderful month. I clicked some beautiful pictures which will always stay with me and will remind me of the fun I had this month. Hope that you all must have celebrated this festive season the same way.

Back in Shape..

By the title itself, it is pretty clear that this time the blog is dedicated to my physique. Yet i want to make it clear that besides body, it would also deliberate about the mental condition also. Without much ado, let us start from the point from where it all started.

If you have been the constant follower, you must be knowing about a decision i took about 4 months back on my birthday eve that is 23.5.14. If at all, you have missed, kindly revisit the blog published in may 2014 which clearly mentions about the moment i decided to cut on my food habits. After almost four months, i am proud to announce that i have shed all those extra kilos which did put me in obese category people. I am back in shape reducing 16 kg of weight starting from 80 kg to 64 kg and still counting.

Last four months, have been a journey full of roller coaster rides. I have seen many ups and lows in past few months which has been discussed elaborately in the previous blogs. To sum up, starting from the pledge of reducing weight to running 10kms a day , from visiting Amarnath shrine to paying obeisance at Salasar Dham, from having arguments in office with seniors to settling issues with contractors, from starting construction of new home to searching for a perfect match.

To consolidate, mentally and physically, i have changed a lot in these days. Running has increased my stamina and off course, Spirituality always makes a person more stronger internally hence i am content with the way i utilized the time in channelizing my energy in the right direction. Since i am back in shape now and only i know about the labour that i have put in to reach at waist line of 30. So i would not dare to allow myself to gain weight again in my entire life.

In the end, i would also like to thank all the people who in some or the other way helped me in achieving my goal. Be it lovely, with whom it all started, be it the doctor for his valuable suggestions, be it pankaj for accompanying me throughout my stadium days, be it my parents for allowing me to continue my dieting without much arguments, be it the people for their encouraging feedbacks from time to time.
